Our Show Hosts:
A native of New Mexico, Randy Lack has been chasing quail for as long as he can remember. While he’s also an accomplished big game hunter, Randy’s true love is hunting upland birds over his English Pointers. Randy has previously co-hosted The Wingshooter and appeared on numerous episodes of Benelli’s American Birdhunter. Besides the Desert Southwest, Randy has chased birds throughout the U.S.—from Oregon and Montana to Utah and Nevada and from Kansas to Michigan. Although he is partial hunting over pointing dogs, Randy has really been impressed with the English Cocker Spaniels, especially his dog, Rosie.
Bruce Horrell has been waterfowl hunting for more than 60 years, growing up in Southern Illinois during the heyday of the Mississippi Flyway. He has a Masters Degree from Indiana University in Recreation with a specialty in Outdoor Education. After college, Bruce went into a career of education and even became a golf professional. Throughout his career, hunting ducks and geese has always been his number-one priority. Bruce became heavily involved with Ducks Unlimited, achieving State Chairman status from 1982-84 and National Trustee in the late 80s. In the mid 2000s, Bruce developed a friendship with Dave "The General" Gruber. Bruce's first-ever appearance on The American Birdhunter was, sadly, The General's last duck hunt—a late-season affair in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. From 2006-2010, Bruce co-hosted The Wingshooter on Outdoor Channel and, in 2014, took over co-hosting duties of The American Birdhunter. When he's not golfing or waterfowl hunting, Bruce spends time in Alabama with his wife Marilyn and dog Joey.
